In order to maintain healthy, shiny hair, it must be adequately nourished with minerals like zinc, copper and iron. Your scalp should also be given due attention and should be pampered with vitamins and minerals. Therefore, a healthy diet is essentially required.
Drink at least 8 glasses of water on a regular basis so that your scalp remains hydrated. Integrate foods in your daily diet that are rich in proteins. These include lean meat, cereals and fish.
As far as washing your hair is concerned, you must do so every alternate day.
Thoroughly rinse your hair with cold water before using shampoo. This allows to get rid of loose dust and dirt. Before applying the shampoo onto the hair, first apply it onto your hands and work in it into a lather. If you apply it onto your hair directly, it may damage the roots and prevent it from shining.
Then massage the shampoo into your roots gently and wash it off with a creamy conditioner. Conditioning should be focused on the ends of the hair.
Lastly, while drying your hair, do not get the hair dryer too close to your hair and always use a paddle or round brush.
