First remove any old nail polish.
Exfoliate your hands with any scrub in order to remove any dead skin cells. Exfoliation also helps soften your skin.
Apply cuticle cream or oil on your cuticles and then after a few minutes even your cuticles out with an orange wood stick.
With some warm water, wash and rinse your nails.
Trim your nails with a nail trimmer, and use a file to give a nice, oval shape to your nails. You should use an emery board. French manicured nails are filed and shaped in such a way that the ends are straight across while the edges are rounded slightly.
Apply a base coat to your nails and wait for it to dry.
Now, use an off white canal paint or a stark nail polish to cover the nail tips and wait for the first layer to dry before applying the next one.
Apply translucent nail polish over the entire nail.
